Use geographic terms and tools to analyze case studies of regional issues in different parts of the world that have critical economic, physical, or political ramifications.

                       





Learning Targets: 
to understand the current geographic situation in Ukraine
to review economic geography vocab. and critical questions
to introduce Rural/Agriculture geography

CCWAA:  constructing essay responses to critical questions

Research focus problem:  How to deal with critical questions in Ukraine conflict and connecting conflict to human geography.

Gifted accommodations:  promote questioning; hypothesizing


3/17/14
"The Janus Face of Globalization" quiz
Presentations
Homework:  Review Ukraine work.  Be sure to view the Youtube video.  Construct two critical for our Russian guest speaker.
Multiple Choice Test on Wednesday and Essay Test on Thursday

3/18/14
Russian guest speaker will explain Ukraine conflict and take audience questions.
Homework:  Study for MC test.  (make sure you do the practice tests in Barron's.)

3/19/14
Multiple choice test (This will be the last grade for this qt.)
Homework:  Study for essay test.

3/20/14
Essay test (Grades for these will not be until next quarter)
Distribute comprehensive topics and practice tests.
Homework:  In Barron's read each section of Rural/Agriculture.  Make sure you know all vocabulary and do the practice tests.  Either outline or write the main ideas for each section and subsection.  Reading test will be on Mar. 31.
