Political Conflict Paper

Research an ethnic conflict either in your hearth or one of the many places around the world.  

Summarize the conflict (quote source).  Be ready to address the origin of the conflict along with who, what, when, where, how, and results.  Was ethnic cleansing or ethnic apartheid involved?

You must use at least 10 geographic vocab. words from Barron's Political Geography chapter. Highlight or underline the words in a 1-2 typed paper due on Friday. I suggest the following paper structure:

Paragraph 1:  Describe the state where the ethnic group resides.  (Here is your opportunity to use

several vocab words.)
 
Paragraph 2:  Describe the conflict.  Transition from the 1st paragraph with something like: "Within the state of _______, resides an enormous amount of tension between _____ and _______." Then summarize the conflict as directed above.


Paragraph 3:  Summarize if and how the conflict was resolved.  Could the conflict have been resolved in a better, more humanitarian way?  If, so how? If the conflict is unresolved, suggest how it could be resolved.
